Day 1. Skippers meeting at 11 and the race course gets announced: 3 laps, upwind mark - spreader mark - gate. Three races are scheduled for today and for all the 5 days of the week.
Still no wind, but weather prediction is that winds of 15 knots will kick in.

12h30 all 17 boats get on the water. By the time we get to the racing area the course is set. Great organisation and we start on time, 13h.
The starts are tight but fair, no recalls, no Black Flags.

The favourite teams are performing like they should and are sailing steady top 5 places, however they always have to watch their back as the fleet is quite close together and others, as the local Italian teams, are on their heels (or should I say sterns).
For the ones following the F16 already a bit longer you can see that some new names are appearing next to the more familiar names, meaning the class is continuing its steady growth.

At 17h30 we are done for today, a good day of racing was had by all. It was very hot, we even had one competitor who had to retreat because of the heat. Key is drinking alot and that means liters!
When we arrived on shore we got treated to a nice Italian pasta and drinks. Very welcome after such a day of racing. The course was quite long and 3 laps is alot, the single handlers must have felt that too!
